Recent bikes and bits.

All City Nature Boy single speed cross bike.  Just got a few of these in stock just in time for cross season.  Really nicely done detailing on these frames. Crowned straight bladed fork. Front and rear rack mounts. Solid parts. Ready to go for cross or burly commuter duty.  We have a 52cm on the floor for test rides/visits. $899 complete!

Here is a Surly Long Haul Trucker we built for a customer with some custom modifications. She opted for a Nitto Noodle bar with chromed interrupter top levers and Shimano aero brake levers, Ladies Brooks b17 in honey, Nitto M14 rear rack/bag support, and SKS fenders. It came out quite lovely.  She is ready for serious tour duty.

Raleigh R500 refurbished road bike. 50cm – $575. SOLD.

Above is a Linus mixte which had a Soma Torpedo retro front light and Bullet rear installed for a customer.  They match the style of the bike really well. $40 each front or rear.

Here is nice 80’s Univega sport road frame we retrofitted for a customer into a light touring all-arounder. Super versatile smooth riding everyday bike.

This is Anthony, one of our youth  interns. He’s been with us for almost 3 months out of his 6 month internship and the kid is a natural with the bike skills. With some assistance from our mechanics last week,  Anthony built himself his first adult bicycle from the ground up.  He’s pretty psyched. Yeah buddy.

Fun times in the woods.

A couple times a year the boys from the shop like to put on frilly dresses and go for a bike ride.

It’s what we do to “relax”…..

A few refurbished used bikes for sale now….

September 7, 2010

A few rebuilt used bikes that went on the floor this week…

Sweet pink Univega Viva Sport Roadie. 57cm -$600. SOLD.

Beautiful Motobecane Grand Touring.  Mostly original parts: Mafac Racer brakes, Ideal saddle, Huret shifters, Stronglight crankset, lovely Campy High flange hubs re-packed and laced to some chrome M13 rims.  This bike was very well cared for and rides like a dream.  An ebay collector would likely get it to hang on a wall but we would love to see someone who appreciates this bike buy it and ride it. Classy bike from yesterday that rides better than most bikes today.  56cm – $500. SOLD.

Nice rebuilt Specialized Stumpjumer. 18″ – $450.  Ready for trail duty or would make a fine tough commuter bike.

Below is another gem from the vaults.  A Specialized S Works Epic! Rebuilt with period specific bits like XTR derailleurs, hubs, shifters, Crankset, BB,  XT canti’s, Bontrager fork.  All new cables, bearings, Chainrings, cassette, tires.  This bike rides so well. Definitely one of the nicer bikes from it’s era.  Still a fantastically capable mountain bike with time proven geometry and parts.  19″ – $699.
