Puch lugged steel 61cm. Complete rebuild w/ integrated shifters $799.

Holy 1992!! Rebuilt Haro EXTREME! mtn bike goodness. This thing is a little crazy looking by today’s mtn bike standards but it was a popular frame design utilized by a few different bike companies, the Nishiki Alien being the most popular. Despite it’s unusual looks it’s been rebuilt and rides great. It would still be a fun trail bike but with the city slick tires on it would be a super tough city rider (just add a basket!). If you’ve ever fantasized about doing wheelies for blocks at a time, this bike was made for it. Goes great with the neon Rayban’s you bought on Ebay last week. So fun! 19.5″ $345.

Speckled paint and oh so extreme…..

Lil’ Schwinn Traveller rebuilt into a lovely little road bike. This one is in the oh-so-rare 48cm size. We don’t have many smaller used road bikes often so this will likely go fast – $475. SOLD.

Here are some current re-furbished used bikes for sale as well as some custom builds we’ve built up for recent customers:

Nice little re-painted mixte frame built into a coaster brake/singlespeed. The rear coaster wheel is handbuilt for extra long life and all parts are new $600.

Cannondale conversion into a lightweight hybrid. Rebuilt with new parts 55cm $475.
Here are some recent custom builds for customers..

This one is a Handsome Cycles frameset ($399) built into a sweet 1×9 set-up.

Here is another variation on a Handsome frame 1×9 set-up.

These framesets are a great deal. 4130 chromoly construction, front and rear rack/fender braze-ons, ideal for singlespeeds, commuter, geared sport road or tourer. Very versatile design based on the old Bridgestone XO-1 geometry. Ken who works at the shop set one up with drops for his singlespeed cross bike and might convert it for touring later on -shown below.

We have a size run in stock but they are moving fast. Stop by to see about custom build options.

Here is Clancy with the new Volume track frame. He picked one up for himself and Pedal got one to sell. Volume is a bmx company primarily but they are doing trick oriented track frames now. The frame utilizes Sanko tubing and heavy duty gussets around the headtube for super-toughness $315/frame.

New in stock Lil’ Blinko’s from Swift Industries up in Seattle!! Handmade fannypack/handlebar bags and panniers in cool color combinations for $25 . Here are male models Austin and Clancy displaying the goodness….

Uri finished the Soma Saga build today and it’s looking sweet. We decided to go with fatter tires to take advantage of the 26″ wheel size that the 54cm frame is designed around and to show off it’s on-road/off-road versatility. This bike would be as comfortable cruising down some backwoods fire road to a remote campsite as it would be loaded down with gear for a road tour down the coast.
Here are a bunch of pics:

We went with some lightweight Honjo fenders from Japan and a front and rear Nitto rack set-up.

Nitto Albatross bars and stem with Rivendell bar-end shifters to round out the cockpit.

Here is the mechanic with his creation.

If you’d like to visit the new Soma Saga in person it will be here 7 days a week for test rides!

Local bike brand Soma is debuting their new touring frame and has asked Pedal Rev to build one up to display the versatility of the bike design. We are building this one into a rugged do-all adventure tourer/uber-commuter bike with nice parts from Soma, Nitto, Brooks, Rivendell, Continental and more.
This is a prototype frame so the final product may differ slightly.
here are a few sneek peeks:

The Saga has a nice tall re-inforced headtube for higher bar positioning without needing to use a stack of spacers.

Here is the fork with braze-ons for a front rack and fenders.

Nice new shiny Suzue High Flange Road hubs laced to Mavic 517’s for a light but strong touring worthy wheelset.

All the good stuff ready to be installed.

so far…..
Check back for the completed bike pics and staff reviews!

Last Friday the Municipal Transportation Agency gave the go-ahead to the 2009 SF Bicycle Plan which gave legislative approval to 45 Bike Network improvement projects the the SFBC has had in the works for San Francisco.
This is fantastic news for SF cyclists!
Here is a link to the SFBC site outlining the new bike lanes and improvements that will be implemented.
Congratulations and a huge thank you to the SFBC for their hard work and persistence in seeing this through and to the cyclists of SF that came out and showed their support.
