Here is another Pedal Revolution built beauty of a bike that went to a very happy customer. This is a Soma Buena Vista Mixte frame. A well designed steel step-through frame designed to do everything from everyday commuting to loaded touring adventures. This one was custom built to do it all.
The customer chose a lovely custom blue paint with added sparkle that makes it shine. It was built up as a 650b wheeled on-road, off-road capable touring bike. The 650b wheel size was chosen to allow for larger tires and still leave room for an eventual fender install. A great mix of Sugino, Shimano, Brooks, and Nitto round out the build.
Fun with Surly bikes is the theme around Pedal Revolution these days. This Surly Cross-check left the shop with a very happy customer last week to be her one bike to do it all. She added a women’s B17 Brooks saddle, some comfy 35mm wide Panaracer Pasela tires for smooth rolling, Shimano SPD pedals, and a handy bike pump to round it out.
Enjoy your bike!
A long time Pedal Revolution customer brought in his well-loved Surly Long Haul Trucker for some modifications last week. He does some touring on it but it’s daily role is as his do-all commuter, grocery-getter,everyday fun-seeker. He wanted an upright riding position so we swapped his drop bars for A Nitto Albatross bar to get him up nice and high. This is one of my favorite ways to modify a touring style bike and make it more everyday-friendly. The Albatross bar is wide and strong with just enough sweep.
All of Pedal Revolution’s Surly Long Haul Truckers are still on sale. Come in a snap one up before the sale ends!

One of his pieces in the show is a very unique bicycle that we helped him assemble. I don’t want to spoil the surprise, you’ll have to go to the opening to see the real deal but here is a teaser video Chris made to promote his show. Check it out and head down to Steven Wolf Fine Arts this Saturday to see it and the rest of Chris’s work.
